Malaria is one of the most serious public health problems. Over 200 million people are infected each year, and 435,000 people die. Malaria is a leading cause of child mortality in Africa, and also damages cognitive development. The World Health Organization determined that the nets distributed by Against Malaria are the only viable way to prevent malaria transmission in Africa.
Against Malaria Foundation is rated as a top charity for effective giving, according to The Life You Can Save and GiveWell charity evaluators.
